Here you will find photos of mainly birds but also of birdwatchers and other interesting creatures you may encounter in nature. I also have a small collection of reports and galleries from trips I have made.

In 2000 I bought my first digital camera and started with digiscoping. In 2007 I switched to DSLR and this is what I use today for bird photography.

 

Why Hypocolius.se? - The Hypocolius, Hypocolius ampelinus, is one of my favorite birds. It breeds in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Turkmenistan. In winter it disperses through the Arabian Peninsula and can be found e.g. in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It is still number one on my photo wish list....
